Staff Directory

We offer a variety of programs at the Bibb County Career Academy. Read below for more information about each teacher and the programs they offer. Click on the teachers' names for a link to their email or their photo for more information on their program.
Allen Franklin, Director
Mr. Franklin has been in education for 23 years after working in the automotive industry for 13 years. He came to the Bibb County Career Academy in 2010.
Phyllis Watkins, Secretary

Mrs. Watkins began working as a substitute before she was hired as a secretary for Brent Elementary in 1999. She was bookkeeper at Brent and Centreville before coming to the Bibb County Career Academy in 2013.


Farrah Daniel, Counselor
Mrs. Daniel has over 14 years experience in education.  She has taught Mathematics at the secondary school level and was the school counselor at Bibb County High School.  She received her Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education at the University of Alabama and a Master’s degree in School Counseling at the University of West Alabama.

Ms. Greathouse began working as the Auxiliary Aide for the Brent Elementary First Class Pre-k program in 2015.  She has three years of teaching experience.  She graduated from the University of Alabama in 2013.  Her hobbies include writing and scrapbooking.




Barbara Terry, Health Science

Mrs. Terry is a Registered Nurse and has been the Health Science Instructor for 5 years.  She has been employed with the Bibb County School System since 1999.   Her hobbies include photography and hiking.
Becky Horton, Cosmetology

Mrs. Horton attended Shelton State Community College and Athens State University. She was a Cosmetology Instructor at Shelton State for 16 years and owned her own business. She has taught Cosmetology at BCCA for the last 7 years of her 28 year Cosmetology career. 


Steve Cottingham, Ag/Plant Systems
Mr. Steve Cottingham earned his Bachelor's in Agricultural Education from Mississippi State. He has been teaching for 13 years. He says that he his passion is agriculture and he is glad that he has the opportunity to share that with his students.
 Tony Williams, Welding
Mr. Williams began working at Bibb County Career Academy in 2012, and taught elementary education prior to welding.  He earned his Bachelors' degree from Stillman College in elementary education, and had 18 years work experience with Burkes Mechanical.
Kendel Johnson, Commerce and Information Technology


Elissa Templeton, Custodian
Mrs. Templeton has been the custodian at BCCA for over 20 years. Her favorite thing to do is spend time with her grandchildren.
