Bibb County Career Academy Students are Ready to Work

I am Allen Franklin the Career and Technical Director of Bibb County Schools and Principal of Bibb County Career Academy. I have been a teacher and administrator at 3 different CTE centers since 1992.

I believe that CTE is the fuel that’s assisting to provide workers for Alabama’s economy. Much of this credit is owed to the recent progress made by the Automotive Manufacturing Industry. The groundbreaking of the Mercedes-Benz battery plant and recent expansions at the plant in Vance brings suppliers and job growth to the state and Bibb County.

The state’s economic boom is bringing countless jobs and opportunities for all students that complete our programs.  Automotive Technology, Modern Manufacturing, Welding, Agriculture, Electrical Technology, Business Information Technology, Cosmetology, Health-Science, and Work-Based Learning. These programs are needed in the growing economy for our County and State. Each program offers a Career Credential that will help students with an entry level job for their chosen career path. Each program instructor has an industry certification of their own that coincides with the program they teach. I am also proud to have 3 National Board-Certified teachers on our campus.

Our goal at the Bibb County Career Academy is to prepare students for success. I believe that we are accomplishing this with outstanding instructors that have worked in the industry related to the program they teach. We also have outstanding support from both high schools and continued support from our Superintendent and the Board of Education. Because of this collaborative support, we can prepare our students for success.

For more details regarding enrollment of your high school student in any of our programs, please do not hesitate to contact me or the counselor at (205) 938-7434.
